The Church of the Holy Spirit Fellowship is a company of Christians determined to glorify God. Our desire is to be one body in Christ as described in Galatians 3:26-28:

"You are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ."

In a number of respects, we are unique among outreaches working in the gay community. We refuse to let the community set our standards or agenda because we are a Christian church. We are:

INDEPENDENT
We are an autonomous company of Christian believers banded together to form a biblical church. Our allegiance is directed to Christ alone rather than to a denomination. We carefully guard our autonomy and refuse to become entangled by outside forces.

CHRIST-CENTERED
Everything that we do as a church seeks to focus on Jesus Christ. To us He is not just another 'religious' leader. To us, Jesus Christ is God. We affirm His Deity and look to Him as the cornerstone of our faith.

BIBLE-BELIEVING
We accept the Bible, God's inspired Word, as our sole authority in all of our beliefs, doctrines and practices.

Our doors are open to ALL regardless of background, race, education, economic status, gender, or sexual orientation. God has raised this assembly up to herald the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the gay community. This, however, does not negate the fact that we remain a church for all people. Our Message is the Good News of salvation in and through Jesus Christ! We acknowledge Jesus Christ as both Savior and Lord. We accept the biblical premise recorded in John 14:6 which states:

"Jesus said, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Our church is strictly a biblical church. Our purpose for existing is to glorify God. We assemble together each Sunday to praise and worship God. We are neither a social club nor a political activist society. We are an evangelical church holding to the historic biblical faith with a charismatic flare. We recognize Jesus Christ as the sole Head of this church. The Bible is our source of authority in all matters of faith, doctrine and morality.

As a biblical church we firmly hold to biblical morality and holiness in lifestyle. Morality standards are determined by what scripture teaches rather than by what is often acceptable in society. The church and the community part ways in areas of biblical morality. We believe all Christians are obligated to obey biblical standards. In these areas, we realize that The Church of the Holy Spirit Fellowship (CHSF) may be somewhat different from other churches that some have attended in the past. Be that as it may, we must stand firmly upon what we believe the Bible teaches in areas of doctrine, faith, practice and morality. We hope this introduction helps you understand the unique and wonderful ministry God has placed in our care, and we hope you can experience it firsthand.
